restaurants, bars, cafe.. the only gay bar in the town of Rhodes, mostly a gay-mens place, but lately there's a lot of women frequenting it, mostly foreign tourists. (sent: July 2003) open 9am-2am must be a teribly friendly place, since it's become the regular hung-out place of the Greek Sapphites that've sent us the tip about Phodes! (Thanks a lot gals, on behalf of all the Sapphites that will come and check-out the place!) general.. mostly a tourists place, with a lot of venues, very friendly to all tourists, regardless of origin or preferences. Mostly foreign mob, and the owners are friendly to all homosexuals in general. (some of the venues are run by foreigners, and their behaviour should set a example for some of the Greek-gay owned venues in Athens! - the languages you'll hear most is german, italian and non-native english) | ||

One Greek woman from Chos reporting.. how she used to think she's the only one so different, the worst feeling being the need to just find someone that could listen & understand what's happening to her, until she discovered there's so many people with the same needs. She's not ready to march the Chios streets with the rainbow flag, but she'll do whatever it takes to avoid being alone again and to support any other woman feeling so terribly lonely. So in trying to find ways to help without being a target for the narrow-minded throwing aphorisms at us.. she started the above Chos group The Chios group reached a top of 3 lesbian members that met often, circulated friendly printed material about Rights, and hosted a nubmer of visiting friends, greek and foreign.Today they got some serious survival trouble, so if you realy need to contact them, email them and be realy patient.
