Trying to come active again, since autumn 2003,
.. it leaves a lot to be desired, as the person responsible for the commitee rather needs
urgent seminars about the international AI-lgbt policies, priorities et all. And basic knowledge of
what being lgbt really/practically means in Greece. They are improving somewhat with time during
the 2 past years (ie their press realeases are almost acceptable), but they still need those seminars.
Add their total fear of the slightest decision-making proccess, and you got the picture.
They also need explicitly detailed instructions of any proccess they got to follow in any emergency
situation needing urgent help. They better tell the victims NOT to disclose their personal data to anyone,
not even international orgs, unless they read their personal data policy and they find it completely safe.
It may be a general problem with the Greek section.. but .. the whole subject certainly needs work.
If you're thinking of voluntary helping a big org with obvious work and succesfull history, this is
certainly a good place to join ladies & gentlemen.
In case we really need urgent AI support, it's best and quite faster to contact the UK headquarters. (We really hope this will improve in good time).

The older surviving greek gay organisation in Athens, started somewhere around 1989??.
There's people that really believe in this one and it could be really efficient, but that's really difficult in Greece. If you need to understand this, you really need to study the general greek history about organising and activism during the last 3 centuries.
The organisation closed down .. somewhere in 2007.
